Jeffrey A. Bucci, M.D.

Dr. Bucci was born and raised on Boston's North Shore. He received his undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut.  After that, he worked in clinical research laboratories both at Stanford University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He received his M.D. from Tulane University School of Medicine.  He completed his internship, residency in psychiatry, and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. In his final year at Mayo Clinic, he was appointed Chief Resident as well as Instructor in Psychiatry for the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine.  He has published several articles on psychiatry and related topics in international medical journals and presented talks at national scientific conferences.  He is board certified by The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and licensed in both Massachusetts and Minnesota.  He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.  He treats children, adolescents and adults.  He is currently the Medical Director of the Community Based Acute Treatment Program at Boston Children's Hospital.  He also has a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School as an Instructor in Psychiatry.  Prior to his current position, he was also the Medical Director of Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry Services at the MassGeneral Hospital for Children at North Shore Medical Center.
