Education & Certifications:
Liz Soccorso, APRN completed her Master’s degree in Community Mental Health Nursing in 1984 at UCLA. She interned at outpatient clinics in the Los Angeles area as well as the Los Angeles Suicide Prevention Clinic. She worked for several years at UCLA’s Neuropsychiatric Institute and taught psychiatric nursing at Mount St Mary’s College. Upon her return to Boston, she worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist at the Floating Hospital for Children, part of Tufts New England Medical Center Boston, and was a nurse educator at Boston Region Hospital in Stoneham.

For 20+ years Ms. Soccorso, directed and treated adults at the Partial Hospital Program, a dual diagnosis program for mental illness and additions located at Beverly Hospital.  She also worked and eventually directed The Discover Program for addictions at Addison Gilbert Hospital. She also has experience in the crisis stabilization unit in Salem and Lawrence. In November 2019, Liz became the nurse prescriber supported by a BC BS grant providing the first telepsychiatry options for patients at Beth Isreal Lahey Health Behavioral Health Outpatient division. She has evaluated and managed medication needs for patients with mood, anxiety and substance use disorders, using an educational approach to help patients understand the role of medications in their treatment.
